Ski-in to the Inn at Aspen Hotel, located at the base of Aspen’s Buttermilk Ski Area, Aspen's most family friendly of the four ski areas, with a larger percentage of beginner runs and the base for the Aspen Skiing Company's Ski School. Buttermilk is famous as the home of ESPN Winter X Games through 2012 and voted #1 by Transworld Snowboarding Magazine Reader's Poll for best pipe and park. This Aspen hotel is just minutes (2 miles) from the vitality of downtown Aspen and Snowmass village (5 miles).
Fly into the Aspen Airport (ASE), just two miles away. Several major carriers offer non-stop flights daily. In addition, Eagle-Vail County (EGE) Airport is 75 minutes away. By car, Aspen is 3.5 hours (220 miles) west of Denver through scenic Glenwood Canyon on I-70. In the summer, take the scenic route via Highway 82 over the breathtaking Independence Pass. From Grand Junction, Aspen is an easy 2.5 hour drive.
- From Aspen Airport: Turn right on Highway 82 and travel for approximately 3 miles and you will be in the center of Aspen.
- From Denver and Eagle Airport: Aspen is 220 miles or four hours from Denver. From both airports get on I-70 west to Glenwood Springs, connecting to Highway 82, at exit #116, to Aspen. Aspen is a straight shot, 40 miles South from Glenwood Springs. The Inn at Aspen will be on the right hand side about 1 mile past the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport.
- From Dever via Independence Pass (Summer only): Another scenic route from Denver takes approximately 3 1/2 hours via I-70 west to Highway 24 south, then west onto Highway 82 over Independence Pass (open only during the warm weather months, typically May 31 to Oct. 31st) into Aspen. Once you arrive in Aspen, travel approximately two miles out of Aspen. The Inn at Aspen will be on the left-hand-side. Buttermilk Ski Resort is on the back side of the hotel.
