Gondola rides at Snowmass and Aspen Mountain lead to panoramic views of the Elk Mountains. Pack a picnic lunch, hike among wildflowers, or take a guided nature walk. Kids of all ages will get a thrill from the activities at the top. Enjoy the scenery!



Snowmass Mountain: Elk Camp Gondola & Chairlift snowmass trail map summer

  • Weekends only season: June 17-19, 2011
  • Runs Daily: June 25 – September 5, 2011
  • Hours: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily (last ride down 4:15 p.m.)

Midway: Offered daily, the Elk Camp Gondola goes to mid-mountain reaching nearly 10,000 feet where you can enjoy miles of hiking and mountain biking trails. ACES nature walks, disc golf, climbing wall, fishing and special programs offered for adults.

Summit: Friday through Sunday, take the Elk Camp lift to the 11,300-foot summit where you can embrace views of the infamous Maroon Bells or enjoy a hike back down to the Elk Camp Gondola on our new Summit trail. After you've worked up an appetite, have lunch on-mountain at Elk Camp Cafe or dinner in base village at Sneaky's Tavern. The cafe is open daily 10:30am-3:45pm. And be sure to take advantage of the FREE parking in the base village parking garage all summer!



Aspen Mountain: Aspen Silver Queen Gondola

  • Hours: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (last ride down at 4:30 p.m.) Sundeck: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily

Ride the Silver Queen to spectacular views, cooler temperatures, dining at the Sundeck and on-mountain adventure. Activities include Climbing Wall, Eurobungy Trampoline, Yoga Hikes, Free ACES Guided Nature Tours, Free Kids' Activities, Free Music Concerts, Free Disc Golf and more.

The gondola travels 2.5 miles and more than 3,000 vertical feet from the heart of Aspen to the 11,212-ft. summit of Aspen Mountain. At the top, bask in the spectacular panoramic views of Aspen and the Elk Mountain Range, dine at the Sundeck, hike, and discover adventure. Purchase your tickets at the Gondola Office at the base of Aspen Mountain.

  • bluegrass sundays on aspen mountainBluegrass Sundays: A favorite among locals, Bluegrass Sundays feature top bluegrass musicians from around Colorado and the country performing in this ideal Rocky Mountain setting. These Bluegrass Sundays are FREE (with the purchase of a gondola ticket.) The open-air concerts are from noon to 3 p.m. outside the Sundeck on top of Aspen Mountain. All Concerts are held on Sundays. June 19- Sept. 4, 2011
  • aspen mountain yoga classesYoga in the Mountains: Sweat and stretch in the midst of inspiring scenery. This popular program combines intermediate backcountry hikes followed by an hour of open-air Hatha yoga at the top of Aspen Mountain. $54 per person includes all-day gondola ticket + sunshine + yoga + wildflower hike.   • disc golf on aspen mountainDisc Golf Course: Play the world's highest official Disc Golf course - it's a hike and a game in one fun outing! Pick up your disc, score card and course map at the top of Aspen Mountain. Take it easy and play the top 9 holes, or challenge yourself to all 18 - the back 9 are infamous. Disc golf is free, but require the purchase gondola ticket to get to the top of Aspen Mountain (or hike up!).
