The Colorado Freeride ChampionshipsFeb. 24-26th, 2012 brings guests a weekend of steeps, cliffs and monster hucks.
The Championship is a three-day, extreme skiing competition for skiers and snowboarders. Some of the biggest names in the industry come out to play on the cliff-littered terrain of Snowmass, creating a wild show for spectators. The expert-only terrain requires cutting-edge skills from the over 100 participating athletes who continue to push the boundaries of their sport. The Colorado Freeride Championship is a stop on the IFSA North American Freeride Tour, allowing competitors to gain overall points for a national title.

Some of the biggest names in the industry come out to play on the cliff-littered terrain of Snowmass, creating a wild show for spectators. Spectators can watch the qualifying day of action from the base of the Hanging Valley Headwall (expert terrain) and catch the finals on the Burnside Cliffs from the deck of Gwyn's High Alpine.
This year there is a cash purse of $7,200 for the Colorado Freeride Championships Prize money will be
awarded to the top four finishers in men’s skiing, and the top three finishers in men’s snowboarding and
women’s skiing and snowboarding categories.
