The Aspen Eco Fest April 24th- 25th, 2010 is about blending lifestyle, business, and environment into this Earth Day weekend with cultural, educational and environmental learning. This event is free to the public and is full of interactive events to foster public awareness and opportunity for environmental growth in our communities.
The Inn at Aspen has teamed up with the Eco Fest as an official sponsor. This allows you to participate in this important event and not break the bank! - Eco-Marketplace : 10am-4pm
Vendors with great eco-products for purchase that are sustainable, recycled, reused, organic, hand made, or home grown. Find everything from electric vehicles, clothing, art and food. And see the Craftsman Alley with demonstrations on how to achieve a better understanding of the techniques involved and the way these artisans appreciate the natural world through their crafts.
- Eco Swap- 10am-4pm
It’s like a Yard Sale on steroids! A perfect opportunity to conserve, and recycle what you’ve got and what you’ve got to give! Bring everything from a couch to appliances to decorative items that you can sell or swap. It is a great place to exchange your old for new and people are exchanging ideas for how to be green, go green and the ideas of up-cycling.
- Round Table Conversations:
Facilitated by the Alliance for Sustainable Colorado, comfortably set at the inn at aspen, participants will have the opportunity to discuss one on one or in a small group green investing, greening of the home, eco-policy. Experts will be there to discuss financial tips for socially responsible and sustainable investing, top ten things to make your home or business more sustainable- difference starts with daily changes!
- Environmental Art Show : Inn at Aspen Judging Saturday night
The art show Hosted by the Aspen Red Brick Center for the Arts will be a showcase for art organizations to inspire people with the potential of recycling by creating works of art from “trash”. Art is available for sale after the awards. More info see website.

- Bicycle Clunker Criterium- 10am
Fun and festive criteria lets contestants use “clunker” bikes (bikes that are remade or have recycled parts to make up the bike) tear their way through an obstacle course that will be timed on skill, speed and humor!
- Green Tie Ball & Eco Fashion Show- 6pm to midnight: $50 tickets for adults, $30 for youth
Walk the Green Carpet with your eco attire, whether it is hemp, re-used ball gown, or a suit of grocery bags you will fit right in. Enjoy yummy appetizers and cocktails, an eco-friendly dinner and be amazed with the eco-fashion party!
During the Ball watch the Eco-Fashion show facilitated by Corky Woods green dept. store. See local designers, thrift stores and boutiques “who focus on wearing your heart and your eco-conscience on your sleeve wearing everything from organic cotton, bamboo and reworked styles!

- Canine Eco Fashion Show- Sunday 2 pm
Bring your favorite earth loving pooch wearing their favorite eco-canine theme. Win lots of prizes with your recycled these and all enter fees are donated to the aspen animal shelter for the spay/neuter programs.
- Environmental Art Show Award Ceremony- 2pm
