Aspen Winternational Audi FIS Alpine World Cup

The Aspen Winternational Audi FIS Alpine World Cup is an event to remember! The fastest women in the world will display their skills of Slalom and Giant Slalom. Headlining the event for the U.S. Ski Team is champion Lindsey Vonn and Olympic giant slalom gold medallist Julia Mancuso.
The World Cup Championships in the United Sates have been hosted on the Aspen Mountain since 1950. This year marks the 41st year of World Cup racing in Aspen! The tradition began in 1968 with Billy Kidd's slalom victory. Jimmy Heuga, Spider Sabich and Bill Maroit also participated in the racing in 1968.
"Aspen is one of America's premier venues for alpine ski racing, providing an outstanding spectacle for both fans on the slope and watching from home," said U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association Vice President Events Calum Clark. "Live European coverage in key times for our alpine World Cups is a critical element to the ongoing success of the events here in the U.S. and the World Cup tour as a whole."
This event will be filled of world class alpine racing, athlete autograph signings, festive sponsor center, and free live music with fireworks! Come experience this town-wide event and see first hand what the Women's U.S. Ski Team has to bring to the the slopes of Strawpile!
