Aspen Santa Fe Ballet After a 33-city tour and appearances at The Kennedy Center, the dancers of Aspen Santa Fe Ballet bring their grace, energy and athleticism home with a vibrant performance unveiling the world premiere of a new ballet by Spanish choreographer Cayetano Soto, and an encore of this winter’s stunning In Hidden Seconds by Nicolo Fonte. Aspen Santa Fe Ballet is a gathering place for the finest dancers and choreographers in the country. Paul Taylor Dance Company A perennial Aspen favorite, Paul Taylor Dance Company has been a major influence in the world of modern dance for over 55 years. Celebrating his 80th birthday this year, Paul Taylor continues to create new works filled with youthful energy and enthusiasm. With 16 powerful dancers, Paul Taylor Dance Company returns to Aspen this July for a one-night-only appearance. Aspen Santa Fe Ballet & Aspen Music School Two of Aspen’s most loved arts institutions come together to present an evening of contemporary ballet and classical music. ASFB presents the premiere of their new ballet by French choreographer Thierry Malandain, filled with wit and poetry. Choreographer Helen Pickett’s stormy and zealous ballet Trace is performed to Rachmaninov and Ligeti’s fiery piano compositions. Santa Fe’s Juan Siddi Flamenco Theatre Company returns to Aspen on August 25th to showcase the ancient and timeless allure that is Flamenco.
Location of Performances
All performances are held at the Aspen District Theatre unless otherwise noted, located in the Aspen Elementary School on Maroon Creek Road. From Highway 82, take the roundabout to Maroon Creek Road.
